Our Projector Mount

The projector mount is hand built.

Price About $18
Where purchased Lowes and Ace Hardware

The mount that came with the projector wasn't the greatest and I didn't want to spend $200+ for a good one so I built my own.

First off, I didn't get this idea myself.  I saw a picture of something like this on AVS Forum.  I tried to find the thread on the forum so I could credit the person but was unable to locate it.

The mount is made from a piece of 3" wide oak and two pieces of 2" wide oak.  A piece of 2" threaded pipe and two flanges purchased at Lowes.  The wood was left over from a previous project and the flanges and pipe were about $10.

The mount took a few hours to layout, cut, sand, screw together and stain.  The metal was all painted.

I purchased the metric hardware at Ace Hardware and then it took about an hour to get the projector hung up and aimed properly.  The hardware was around $8.

Total cost of the project was about $18.

To aim the projector you simply turn it side to side on the threaded pipe.  To adjust the angle, you simply adjust the nuts on the threaded rods.
